We believe that education leads to better clinicians that will translate into better outcomes for patients.
The Society of Mechanical Ventilation’s mission is to provide high quality, free medical education, and educational credits to all medical professionals around the globe; and to educate the public on the science of mechanical ventilation.
We envision ourselves as a link between clinicians working with ventilators and the ventilator manufacturers. We want to have the manufacturers hear the clinicians’ voices and feedback and simultaneously showcase the manufacturers’ products and exhibits their benefits in one platform.
As one of our education tools, we publish the “Journal of Mechanical Ventilation” (JMV). This is a quarterly peer reviewed medical scientific journal online. The journal is also available free of charge to researchers and readers. JMV is the first and only online journal dedicated to the research and science of mechanical ventilation.
Overall our mission is to provide opportunities for anyone who is interested in this lifesaving topic, to learn, improve and communicate with each other.
